Nutrition for Eye Health
Science suggests that proper nutrition is critical to maintaining the health of your eyes. When we look for other nutrients outside of vitamin A that are associated with eye health, many researchers and eye care practitioners believe that the daily intake of certain antioxidants like vitamins C, E, carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin, zinc and essential fatty acids - may reduce the risk of certain chronic eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.
