Preparing your child for school with necessary school supplies, clothes and books is a must.

This morning Dr. Gina Wesley joined us with information on basic eye care preparation for school.

Equip your child with basic eye supplies, such as glasses cleaner, cloth, contact lens solution and lens cases to ensure there is never an eye emergency he can't handle. Don't forget to call your eye doctor if you notice your child's eye is red, he complains of pain, or has decreased vision.

Be sure to have your child receive an updated eye exam, as screenings do not catch over 50% of children with vision problems.
