3 Tips for Relieving Eye Fatigue

Working on a computer for hours every day? The increase in screen time can cause eye strain and fatigue. Symptoms include dry eyes, double vision, neck strain, and difficulty concentrating.  If you are experiencing any of these symptoms,  here are three tips for relieving your eyes:

  • Protect Your Eyes from Blue Light

The best thing you can do for your eyes, and your mental and physical health, is to limit your screen time and hold yourself to it. Try tracking your average daily usage on your phone and set reasonable screen limits from there. Read our blog about protecting your eyes from blue lights for more tips.

  • Adjust Your Lighting

Bright lights – inside and outside – cause you to squint and strain your eyes. Whether it’s too much time in the bright sun without sunglasses, a large window, or a bright lamp, consider lighting and how long you spend squinting.

  • Blink More

Bright lighting and glares can strain your eyes, cause squinting and make it difficult to see. Eye strain often is caused by excessively bright light either from outdoor sunlight coming in through a window or from harsh interior lighting.
